The Biosmart steering committee met in Torino this October. We had the opportunity to update our last advances in bio-based smart packaging regarding antimicrobial properties, thermoregulated packaging, gas sensors and barrier properties.
This time, the meeting was organized by Propagroup. Propagroup, having been in the active and smart plastic film industry for over 50 years, is participating in the project as a producer of Biosmart film and tray prototypes, with a dedicated production process, and supporting the consortium in formulating and designing the material to be used.
